Little Girl with a hat

Yesterday I got some good advice on rendering portraits. Turning the reference upside down will allow your eyes to see rather see what they think their seeing. So I gave it a whirl and I'm surprised how much that little tip helped.

Oh yes - I love doing this technique and find it very helpful too. It's a wonderful tool, I call it "bypassing the brain" because the lines go from my eyes to my hand and my brain doesn't tell my hand where to go! Ha. These two newest ones are VERY good!!
