I really like how you use such rich solid colors to create your compositions. Your cake looks solid enough to take a bit! I really like your fish paintings too. Have you been doing water color for a long time? I am still trying to get the hang of it. Really enjoy your work.

Laura...I've been painting for over 15 years. I found that after I had a foundation in watercolors, painting got easier. Also it really helps to have good brushes and quality artist paints. It can be rather frustrating to have the wrong brush or student grade paints. So be patient with yourself and eventually everything will finally come together.
